To young children, there is something very special about doing things
that adults find ordinary. Practical life exercises such as pouring and
spooning, washing dishes or polishing shoes completely absorbs
them. At Montessori Learning Center, we recognize this process as
the beginning of control and coordination of mind and body. Though
sensory experiences, Our primary program helps children distinguish,
categorize and relate new information to what they already know.
They learn math with concrete materials. They construct words with
the movable alphabet, then the child can progress to nuances of the
English language, function of words and grammar.

Children at the Montessori Learning Center are encouraged to explore, investigate and fulfill their natural curiosity about the world around them. Under the careful guidance of our Montessori Teachers, Children develop at their own pace and learn that school can be unending adventure-one that inspires a lifetime of discovery.

The Montessori classroom is organized into several curriculum areas, usually including: language arts (reading, literature, grammar, creative writing, spelling, and handwriting), mathematics and geometry, everyday living skills, sensory awareness exercises and puzzles, geography, history, science, art, music, and movement. Most rooms will include a classroom library. Each area is made up of one or more shelf units, cabinets, and display tables with a wide variety of materials on open display ready for use as the children select them.
